1947 Comanche Commissioners Court

I can’t say that the room has changed much since 1947, and Judge O.E. Rippetoe is sitting on the far left, exactly where Judge Arthur sits today! The big calendar on the wall is from Higginbotham Bros.

If you know these guys, let us know. We love to save the stories!

Rippetoe, Homer Miller #3, Jesse Reece #2, Charlie Biggs #1, Henry Freeman #4

Rippetoe, F.T. Brandt, Homer Miller #3, Jesse Reece #2, Charlie Biggs #1, Henry Freeman #4

The best I can understand this one, F.T. Brandt was not a commissioner at this time but had served 3-2 year terms before this term. If you have better information, please put in the comment box below.

About Fredda Jones

Fredda Davis Jones was raised “in the country” in Comanche County and learned very early that creativity and innovation are traits that can flourish even in small-town Texas and that with enough effort, indeed nothing is impossible, including being married to the same man for over 40 years! Rickey and Fredda have 2 children, 5 grandchildren, and a crazy life that includes sitting in the bleachers several times a week. The rest of her time is spent creating great content for texansunited.com and marketing small-town Texas.
