Thanks to the generous donation by Eddie Cox, on February 27 Revitalize Comanche, Inc. will be auctioning a gorgeous 22 caliber Henry Lever Action Collectors Rifle.

The auction will be held in the Higginbotham building on the evening of February 27, and this rifle is just another in a long list of great items that bidders will have a chance at acquiring.

As you can see, there are only 100 of these commemorative rifles.

I've learned that I am not a photographer of rifles, but this beauty will be on display in the windows of the new heritage center until the 27th. Stop by and give it a look!

It’s going to be a fun evening, with all proceeds going 100% to Heritage Park, where Revitalize will continue to create exhibits that help explain days gone by in Central Texas.

The evening will kick off at 6:00 with the best BBQ dinner Jerry Gore ever served up, topped by what I hear is going to be some fabulous homemade cobbler. And all of that comes for just $10.00 a plate…or a larger donation, whichever guests prefer.

On the fiddle will be the great Robbin Westmoreland Guinn, and, of course, Wade Luker and his quartet have been delighting listeners for years with some of the best vocals in Texas!

The auction itself will crank up about 7:30, and it is going to be one that you do not want to miss!  Contact chairperson, Sandy Luker, with questions.
