• Apple Dumplings, A Decadent Dessert

APPLE DUMPLINGSI don’t like fruit or actually, I don’t like to bite cooked fruit so I make these delicious dumplings a little differently than most do, but however you decide to prepare your “dumplings,” I can guarantee sweet, sticky, gooey delicious!

    Ingredients

    2 Tubes of Crescent Rolls
2 Large Apples, cut into small pieces*
    1 1/4 Cup Sugar
    1 Teaspoon Vanilla
1/2 Teaspoon Cinnamon, or more to taste
2 Sticks of Butter, the real deal
12 Oz. Moutain Dew, more will make your juice thin

    Preheat oven to 350 degrees.

Peel and core apples, dice into small bite-size pieces.*

Roll up crescent rolls and place in buttered casserole pan.

Melt butter over medium heat. Add apples, sugar, cinnamon, and vanilla and cook just until mixture thins.

Pour mixture over rolls and then pour Mountain Dew over all.

Bake for 30 minutes. Remove from oven and spoon juice over the top of rolls. Return to oven and bake until rolls are browned to the taste of your family.

If you can, serve hot. Adding a bit of ice cream to the side makes them just about perfec

*Most people slice the apples and put a slice on each crescent triangle before rolling.

I think the smaller the better on the size of apple pieces, but that is up to you.

Pour the sauce over the crescents then add the Mountain Dew. As you can see, the soda will bubble.

Delicious! And I can simply eat the dumpling and sauce and enjoy the flavor of the apple!
