• Bluz Dawg To Entertain At Billy The Kid Chili Cook-Off

The historic town of Hico, Texas is gearing up for its annual Billy the Kid Chili Cook-Off (Saturday, October 6, 2012), and that means that things are popping at the Billy the Kid Museum as plans and more great plans for the day unfold.

This past week I was able to visit with both Sue and Jane about the event, and my music ears perked up when I heard the name Jim Moody or the Bluz Dawg as he is more commonly known. It seems that Jim is to be part of the live entertainment (from 10:00 a.m. until 10:00 p.m.) while the cooks are stirring up some of the best chili in Texas, and you know that’s good!

As you can see, the town of Hico is getting ready for the big day!

Jim, who will be making his third appearance in Hico, will be performing from 6-9 p.m. with a mixture of country and blues.

Remember, the cook-off is a CASI sponsored event, but there is always room for the backyard cookers as well. Applications can be found at http://www.billythekidmuseum.com.

Of course, a cook-off isn’t a cook-off without tasters so mark your calendars for October 6 and make plans to mosey on over to Hico for some good eats. Be sure to come hungry!
