• Brooke Stewart Is Back, And She IS A Message Of Hope

BROOKE STEWARTBrooke Stewart is back, and in a very, very visible role, and are we excited to have her!

If you haven’t been in the Comanche Chamber of Commerce lately, you’ve missed a bright new face because Brooke Stewart is all graduated from Texas Tech University and is now working on her Masters Degree in  business administration while she serves Comanche in her new position within the chamber.

At the moment, Brooke is also volunteering her time to help Revitalize Comanche, Inc. with its ventures…most recently trying her hand at working with us on some grant writing. Talk about throwing someone into the fire! And yet, Brooke takes it all with a smile and an unbelievably willing attitude.

“When you were in high school, did you ever dream that you would want to come back to Comanche and pick up with the rest of us,” I asked Brooke the day she (in gorgeous high-wedge boots) and I hiked the trail that is being laid out as a study in Native American food and medicinal sources.

“Never in a million years,” she smiled. I had to leave for a while to understand just what I had, what we all have in Comanche.”

So why do I consider Brooke a message of hope?

That’s simple because if the town of Comanche can attract back one of its best and its brightest, can make someone like Brooke to see what it has to offer, it might just mean that small-town Texas is becoming the place to be as city life loses its luster. And with the emergence of more and more technology, young people are finding that they can actually work from anywhere…if they can find a signal!

“Comanche molded me into who I am now, and I am so thankful for the opportunities this town gave me while I was growing up. It took going away to realize this and now, I am just so fortunate to be back home and able to serve a community that embraces all that is good about a small town and small town living,” the gorgeous young woman closed our interview with one of her 1000 watt smiles.

As I said…a real message of hope!
