You never seem to catch your breath around here! I thought after bottling was finished I would be able to take it easy around hear at the winery and in the vineyard. No such luck, but I would not have it any other way.
The last few days I have received all the white wine that we bottled in Lubbock. Finding a place for it in our cellar was a huge challenge, but I was able to fit everything in there. We bottled 4,439 cases this year. I am very happy the way the wines turn out. Proud to have my name on the label.
The other day Brennan Vineyards was lucky enough to host a one day seminar at our winery put on by Grayson County College. The topic was a Viognier Symposium with a lot of the top TX Viognier winemakers in attendance and one from Virginia and one from California as well. Lots of good information was learned and a lot of great Viogniers were tasted as well. 4.0 Cellars down in Fredericksburg is getting very close to being open.
I was down there a couple of weeks ago and was VERY pleased on how it looks down there. I will also be down there in a few days working on some last minute stuff. We have a great team down there in place once we open our doors as well. It will be well worth the trip down there to check out this new tasting room. World class facility! We just rose the bar for any new winery thinking of building a new place down there.
