Carroll Drugstore 1902 In Comanche

I cannot apologize enough! I did not write the following, but I cannot remember who sent it to me. If you will let me know, I will give you the credit for the contribution.

William Morrison Carroll was the owner of the Carroll drug store in Comanche. This picture was taken about 1902.

The Carroll Family was quite prominent. In fact, Uncle Billy, as he was known to the folks in Comanche, was a good friend of Dr. Robert T. Hill and he knew James Wesley Hardin.

William Morrison and his wife Katherine had seven children, six girls and one boy.

Pictured here, from left to right, daughter Charlcie, Doc Turner, a medical doctor who preferred working in the pharmacy, the owner of the store, William Morrison Carroll, and Kate, a daughter.

This family is featured in the COMANCHE COUNTY FAMILY HISTORIES.

About Fredda Jones

Fredda Davis Jones was raised “in the country” in Comanche County and learned very early that creativity and innovation are traits that can flourish even in small-town Texas and that with enough effort, indeed nothing is impossible, including being married to the same man for over 40 years! Rickey and Fredda have 2 children, 5 grandchildren, and a crazy life that includes sitting in the bleachers several times a week. The rest of her time is spent creating great content for and marketing small-town Texas.
