• Chocolate Oatmeal No Bake Cookies Recipe

When you need to make cookies and just don’t have the time, these are quick and very easy. I made them for years when the kids were little, but I did not use the peanut butter which makes these better, I think.

CHOCOLATE NO BAKE COOKIES1/2 Cup Butter
    2  Cups Sugar
    1/2 Cup Milk
    4 Tablespoon Cocoa

    1/2 Cup Peanut Butter
    3- 3 1/2 Cup Quick Cooking Oats
    2  Teaspoons Vanilla

Add the first 4 ingredients in a saucepan. Bring to a rolling boil, and boil for 1 minute.

Stir in the last 3 ingredients. Drop by spoonful onto wax paper in the size that you want your cookies to be. Let cool until set. You’ll be a hit without having to stand and empty cookie sheets all day!

Can I use old fashioned oats instead of quick oats? I’ve made them a long time ago, but just wondering if the kind of oats would make a difference.

I am looking for a recipie like this that calls for Grandmaws molasses, and leaves the cookie soft and chewy. When I was a kid I would put this cookie in my mouth like a big chew, like the big cowboys. Dont tell this.
