• CHS Track And Tracksters

I love track and tracksters. I’m not sure if it’s because I was one or if it is because I know exactly how much those kids who compete in the sport go through before the day of the meet, but the honest truth is that I love everything about a track meet. So, it was with all of these throughts that headed out to get some pictures of our CHS competitors, ready to see their events.

And then…I began to think, and it occured to me that there is less glory in competing in track than in any other sport in the country. Think about it…you spend your entire day waiting for your event, and then in just a few minutes…or often just a few seconds…it’s all over.  At least a football game or a basketball game or a baseball game or a golf tourney, etc. lasts for a while. And yet, the 100 yd. dash is over in seconds!

    About Fredda Jones

Fredda Davis Jones was raised “in the country” in Comanche County and learned very early that creativity and innovation are traits that can flourish even in small-town Texas and that with enough effort, indeed nothing is impossible, including being married to the same man for over 40 years! Rickey and Fredda have 2 children, 5 grandchildren, and a crazy life that includes sitting in the bleachers several times a week. The rest of her time is spent creating great content for texansunited.com and marketing small-town Texas.
