• Coffee Punch For That Special Brunch

COFFEE PUNCHI don’t do a lot of morning entertaining anymore, but there was a time when it was extremely common for me to have up to 75 people in my house for some type of celebration brunch. On those special mornings, I normally served a choice of two cold drinks, orange julius and coffee punch…both completely delicious!

Today, I want to share with you the absolute easiest and delicious punch ever…coffee punch, a sure hit with the coffee drinkers in the world! There is no recipe to  it, few make it, and it only consists of two ingredients.

    Ingredients

    Coffee, cooled
    Vanilla Ice Cream
Vanilla To Taste, I do not usually use vanilla.

    Preparation

    1. Make several pots of coffee and pour into a large container. If you want a sweet punch, add sugar to taste to one of the pots while coffee is hot. Allow coffee to cool well.

    2. When you are ready to serve, dip as much ice cream as you want into the punch bowl or whatever container you wish to use. For my punch bowl, I use about as much ice cream as would be in the big red bucket ice cream.

    4. Pour coffee over ice cream. (You probably want to make this on the cabinet and then move to your table!) Stir after each addition until you reach the texture of your choosing. I usually start with a pretty thick punch (although it is certainly drinkable without a spoon) since it will melt some.

The beauty of this “recipe” is that you can make as much or as little as you desire. You also do NOT have to serve from a punch bowl!

Obviously, this punch cup is just sitting on my counter today. Normally, it would be grouped with many others in some type of display.

The beauty of this recipe is that it can be made in a pitcher and served to smaller groups. When this is the case, you might want to add a touch of cinnamon.

Obviously, coffee punch works great during the holidays and in your holiday glasses!
