The Comanche County Historical Museum has to be one of the best small town museums in the state, with fourteen rooms full of unbelievably interesting history and artifacts.

From notorious bad guy, John Wesley Hardin, to the Father of Geology in Texas, Robert Thomas Hill, to the beloved Uncle Mart Fleming, visitors to the museum will immediately find themselves immersed in days gone by in Comanche County.

The museum is open from 10:00-4:00 Wednesday through Saturday and by special appointment. You can’t visit Comanche without putting this visit on your agenda!

I used to get Texas United regular but not any more. We go to Comanche yearly for reunion and love it. We enjoy shopping and eating out 3 meals a day for the weekend. We have a hard time finding a place to eat on Sunday. Could you send a list of places open on Sunday. We won’t be there until July. Thank you.
