On our journey to building a larger, more successful Ag program here in Comanche, our next step was to have a fish fry in the high school commons in October. Our officers worked the event, and J.C. Cook did a great job with the catering.
Everyone was invited, and our FFA Booster Club did a wonderful job. We just can’t say enough about our boosters. For this event, they worked very hard gathering items that allowed us to have a silent auction along with the fish fry.
Of course, we were still trying to meet people because we really do want to find a relationship with this community. Plus, we were still trying to put faces and names together.
The event came off great; we raised quite a bit of money for FFA, and 100% of it goes back into the kids. Next year we plan to have it on a home football night so we can grow it even bigger.
We believe the fish fry was also great publicity for us because we are trying to get all kids involved in all things. The kids here are too great not to be involved in all activities.
Now….on a current note, we would like to invite all of you to attend our Ag Olympics on Monday May 21 at 6:00 p.m. The redneck games will take place behind the Ag building, and we will also be selling a brisket sandwich mean for $5.00. Come join us!
