• Comanche FFA To Host Redneck Olymnpics!

Okay, folks, I’m a believer in Comanche and Comanche kids, and since it’s beginning to seem that Ag teachers Vinnie Heller and Blake O’Quinn actually do have the Midas touch when it comes to inspiring Comanche High School students to reach for the gold, I didn’t even blink an eye when the two told me about their newest Off the Wall idea. In fact, I decided to tell you about it and then invite you to come watch!

It would seem that the latest idea hatched  by the barnyard duo is to host what they are calling Redneck Olympics. The contestants will be FFA students who will participate in a myriad of redneck games, all for our enjoyment as well as to once again bring the spotlight onto Comanche FFA and its growing number of students and programs.

    From O’Quinn and Heller:

“We would like to invite everyone to our Ag Olympics on Monday May 21 at 6 pm behind the ag building where FFA members will compete in red neck games. Come watch!! You can also have dinner with us since we will be serving a brisket sandwich meal for 5 bucks. Of course, the meal is free to FFA members.”

Now, if you know me, you know that I’m not too much into redneck; however, I’m in on this one. In fact, I’m in on anything these two first-year teachers decide to do since I love CHS, and I especially love a winning attitude. Come on out and join Ric and me in what promises to be a fun evening for a good cause!
