• Comanche Indians Maidens vs Brady In Photos

    Let’s Bounce A Little Roundball!
And Comanche and Brady Did Just That!

It was the beginning of the district basketball season for the boys this past Tuesday night when the Brady Bulldogs came to town with some very good basketball teams. The freshman Indians walked away with the win, but it was a hard-fought battle that went all the way to the final buzzer – Comanche 35  Brady 32.

The JV Indians and Bulldogs tipped off next, and it was another nail biter. When the final buzzer sounded, the Indians were on bottom – Comanche 40  Brady 42.

The Maidens lost to the Lady Bulldogs by a score of 56-46; however, the game was much, much closer than that. It was one of those games where the Maidens were forced into fouling the last couple of minutes. That, of course, allowed Brady to run the score up on the Comanche girls.

There’s no doubt about it; the Comanche Indians had their best game of the season. They dominated the Bulldogs for most of the game, only to lose it in the last few minutes. You’ll have to check the final score. I covered my eyes in the last seconds when Comanche was down 47-50. Like the Maidens, they played the final minute of the game in force-foul mode.

It was four great games, with a gym full of cheering people…kind of like the old days used to be!
