• Comanche Senior Night Started Today

Ever wonder just what it is that your kids do while they are in school? Well, today they took some time to celebrate the fact that tonight is the last Indian home game that several of these band members, cheerleaders, and football players will ever participate in. Of course, I guarantee you that at least 75% of them will have the following conversation with their parents when they get home.

    “What’d you do today?”

    “Nothing.”

    “Anything new happen?”

    “No.”

So…here at United, we thought we’d show you a little of their Friday in photographs.

I arrived at Indian stadium just in time to snap a few photos of these younger children who were excited to be coming to the pep rally.

And then there were the older students.
    CHS STUDENTS
Every Friday night we scream and cheer and bemoan certain plays, successes, and mistakes, but today we wanted to give you a glimpse of who it is that is under the helmet. They are wearing their numbers so it should be easy  for you to spot your favorite player. If I missed yours, all I can do is apologize. Every year about this time, there are a few who think they are just too cool for an old lady with a camera in their face!  :)

And while the Indians sat there, trying to look too cool to drool, (this is the point every year where I yell at them and think, “You little so and so. I’ve walked these sidelines all season snapping your picture, don’t you dare ignore me! Do you hear me!! ??) LOL….

…the CHS Indian Band was playing its collective hearts out, celebrating the day in song.

    About Fredda Jones

Fredda Davis Jones was raised “in the country” in Comanche County and learned very early that creativity and innovation are traits that can flourish even in small-town Texas and that with enough effort, indeed nothing is impossible, including being married to the same man for over 40 years! Rickey and Fredda have 2 children, 5 grandchildren, and a crazy life that includes sitting in the bleachers several times a week. The rest of her time is spent creating great content for texansunited.com and marketing small-town Texas.
