One of the loveliest places to visit inside the Comanche city limits is our city park. Covering over fifty acres, the park offers a quiet, serene place for visitors to bring a picnic and just enjoy the outdoors.
Guests will find plenty of tables and benches just for this purpose, and before they leave, most have usually befriended a squirrel or two!
Those who like to get in a good workout will enjoy the hiking trail for both a good walk or jog, most of which is covered by foliage to guard against the Texas sun.
For the history buff, the park offers a look at prehistoric dinosaur footprints, located beneath the rock entrance that was moved from historic Lake Eanes.
The Comanche City Park also houses three large pavilions for those who wish to book some type of get together there. Reservations can be made by calling the Chamber of Commerce in Comanche. 325-356-2940
