• Comanche, Texas Needs A History 101!

If you’ve been keeping up on Dublin Community News, you’ve seen what I have written about the fact that historian Mary Yantis coordinates a “class” called Dublin, Texas History 101. Everyone who is interested in Dublin and the surrounding area’s history is invited to attend, and the group meets every first Monday of the month when school is in session.

I attended my first session a week or so ago, and I was struck by how badly we need to do something like this in Comanche. We have so very, very much rich history, and we need to share it with others to ensure that it lives on.

So, consider this an old bug in the ear comment, and let’s be thinking about coordinating this wonderful idea. I’ve seen first hand how much those with ties to Comanche County love to learn of our heritage, and I’m sure the class would be wildly received! :)

No, I know this isn’t the correct location to be replying to “The Bible”. But, it seems very strange that this nation, SO NAMED BY OBAMA AS BEING “Not a christian Nation” is watching this program so much. Strange that a bunch of infidels should be so interested in “The Bible.”
