    Durham Pecan Attends NPSA

    RICKEY, PAUL, CLINT

Comanche, Texas: Rickey Jones, Paul Rich, and Clint Welch recently attended the annual National Pecan Shellers Association Convention in Asheville, North Carolina where topics such as overseas trade, crop estimate, and health benefits of pecans were just a few discussed by growers and shellers from all over the country.

One of the most provacative discussions in the pecan business these days is the fact that China is beginning to show a marked interest in the nut. Next month Odie Dollins from Durham Pecan will travel to China.

Texansunited.com will be bringing you Odie’s perspective on the subject once he returns. It is always a bit disturbing to see China in any American market so we will be especially interested to see what Odie learns.

    About Fredda Jones

Fredda Davis Jones was raised “in the country” in Comanche County and learned very early that creativity and innovation are traits that can flourish even in small-town Texas and that with enough effort, indeed nothing is impossible, including being married to the same man for over 40 years! Rickey and Fredda have 2 children, 5 grandchildren, and a crazy life that includes sitting in the bleachers several times a week. The rest of her time is spent creating great content for texansunited.com and marketing small-town Texas.
