• Comanche Unveils Its Newly Restored Train Depot

Well, it’s been a long time coming, but the Comanche Train Depot is wonderfully restored and open for business as the brand new home of the Comanche Chamber of Commerce and Visitor’s Center!  Today, executive director, Christine Perkins,  brings you a photographic tour of the beautiful old building.

Christy proudly shows off her new digs.

Guests are welcomed into the reception area.

This is the well-worn vintage scale.

The building now sports a beautiful conference room.

    The Break Room

Anytime a town undertakes such a mammoth project there is always a lot of discussion about just how much should be spent and how much the town will profit from that expenditure. Here at United we salute everyone involved in preserving this slice of Texas past for the town of Comanche. Great job!

    About Fredda Jones

Fredda Davis Jones was raised “in the country” in Comanche County and learned very early that creativity and innovation are traits that can flourish even in small-town Texas and that with enough effort, indeed nothing is impossible, including being married to the same man for over 40 years! Rickey and Fredda have 2 children, 5 grandchildren, and a crazy life that includes sitting in the bleachers several times a week. The rest of her time is spent creating great content for texansunited.com and marketing small-town Texas.
