• Delicious Grilled Vegetables

    As we’ve told you before, our recipes here on Texansunited.com are nothing special…just real food for real people….things that any of us can make.

    This week my mother-in-law gave us a little bit of this and that…nothing that I could really make a meal of, or so I thought. Then I had the bright idea of using everything to copy something I had seen in the store. You can use anything, but I just used what Jean gave us and a couple of things I had in the fridge.

    GRILLED VEGGIES

    Ingredients

    Mushrooms
    Yellow Squash
    Zucchini Squash
    Purple Onion
    Red Pepper
    Green Pepper
    Olive Oil
    Garlic Salt
    Cayenne Pepper

    Preparation

    1. Thread veggies on skewers.

    2. Brush with olive oil…don’t be stingy.

    3. Sprinkle well with garlic salt, and I added cayenne pepper.

    4. Grill till done.

    These actually tasted much, much better than I expected. I was liberal with the olive oil, and I think that really made them better.
