• Detox Drink You Might Want To Try

DETOX TEAI have HORRIBLE genetics for blood pressure, blood sugar, as well as heart, cholesterol, and triglyceride problems. And yet, up until this point I have beaten the odds against me, with my doctors claiming that I have some of the best levels they have ever recorded in a person of my age.

Obviously, I could be a freak of nature, a throwback to some hardy ancestor; however, my suspicion is that I take much better care of myself than did my parents and grandparents and even my younger brothers. This detox drink is just part of the routine.*

    12 Ounces Water (I use about 8.)
2 Tablespoons Apple Cider Vinegar (I use organic.)
    2 Tablespoons Fresh Lemon Juice
1 Teaspoon Cinnamon (I use Ceylon.)
    1/2 Teaspoon Cayenne Pepper

*If you are new to detox, I’d cut back on the ingredients since there is no reason to overload your system or possibly make yourself sick. You will notice that today I am drinking an iced drink; however, I put my cinnamon and pepper in a little water and heat it before adding it to the rest of the ingredients.

In the winter, I usually heat it all and drink as a tea. I do not add stevia, but a little would be fine  if you need to do that. I find that it cuts the appetite, helps my system stay alkaline, and speeds up metabolism. Of course, I can’t tell you that it will do any of those things for you.

Oh….serving in my grandmother’s goblet makes me feel as though I’m having a special occasion! :)
