• Donkeys, Basketball, and Lots Of Horses!

Here in Texas it is nothing to see a donkey grazing in a pasture as we are driving down the road. However, one doesn’t usually equate donkeys with basketball courts, even in Texas. BUT….Jennifer Prater Robinson of Comanche, Texas tells me that come Saturday, March 3 at 7:00 p.m. the Gustine, Texas gym is going to be filled with donkeys and basketball players as the Comanche County 4-H Horse Club holds it largest fundraiser of the year.

In addition to great entertainment ($6.00 per person in advance and $8.00 at the door), the concession stand will offer a hamburger meal along with the usual concession items.

For advance tickets call Mary Ratliff (254-842-4198), Rachel Hilliard (254-979-2092), Heather Tomlinson-Goode (325-330-1000), or any 4-H Horse Club member. Monies earned from the evening will go toward paying for club members to attend horse camp as well as to help defray the cost of their competitions.

It’s going to be a fun-packed evening for a great cause. We’ll see you there!

The rest of her time is spent creating great content for texansunited.com and marketing small-town Texas.
