Renovations have continued for several years on the Dublin Historical Society’s1882 grist mill, the centerpiece of Wright Historical Park, located on Blackjack St. just one block west of Hwy 377.
The restoration project began with the announcement in December 1999 that the Society had received a grant from the Texas Department of Transportation. After years of delays and disappointments, the restoration finally started. Exterior walls and roof have been beautifully restored and the goal now is to complete interior work so that the mill can be open to the public.
The mill, and several other historic components of Wright Park such as the Barbee log cabin and the wishing well, are popular “photo ops” with visitors.
