• Help Your Children ENJOY Learning Our History

CIVIL RIGHTS DVDBy now, you all know that I am passionate about our Texas history as well as the history of America and that one of my soap boxes is the fact that fewer and fewer Americans know how the country was settled or the price that was paid by so many to give us what we have today.

For some reason, children and adults alike are woefully lacking when it comes to historical knowledge, and I was thinking about that very thing when this week I happened upon some DVDs that I think might just help rectify the situation. I believe your younger children will really enjoy these and never suspect that they are good for them! :)

Seldom do we endorse national products on Texans United (and never for free); however, after watching the sample videos found on this link and after ordering a set myself, I’m excited enough about them to give you the opportunity to see if you believe that you might want to give your children a chance to learn a little history. Click on the cover of any DVD to hear a sample lesson for yourself.

The only thing I do not like is that these are set up on an automatic one-per-month ship. However, they are very reasonably priced and very easy to cancel if you do not want to continue with the series after you make your first purchase.

    About Fredda Jones

Fredda Davis Jones was raised “in the country” in Comanche County and learned very early that creativity and innovation are traits that can flourish even in small-town Texas and that with enough effort, indeed nothing is impossible, including being married to the same man for over 40 years! Rickey and Fredda have 2 children, 5 grandchildren, and a crazy life that includes sitting in the bleachers several times a week. The rest of her time is spent creating great content for texansunited.com and marketing small-town Texas.
