Heritage Village Now Boasts Red Oak Tree

Thanks To Newman Generosity

The area that is slowing being transformed into what is going to be a heritage village now can boast of its first tree, a native Red Oak, no less and it is all due to the generosity of Bobby and Cindy Newman of Comanche.

It’s hard to see it now, but if you can envision a very scaled down version of the Heritage Village below, you will begin to see the plans for Comanche. Obviously, none of these projects will stand alone; however, all combined, Comanche will begin to be a place where cars stop for a little while. And if they stop, they just might spend some money!

Heritage Village will provide the perfect complement to both the existing Comanche County Historical Museum and the new heritage center.  It only takes a little research to see just what history is doing for the coffers of Texas. Folks who follow the heritage trails tend to have a little more disposable income, and they tend to spend it on historical, cultural, heritage-related items.

It doesn't look like much now, but it will be beautiful this summer, all thanks to the Newmans!

About Fredda Jones

Fredda Davis Jones was raised “in the country” in Comanche County and learned very early that creativity and innovation are traits that can flourish even in small-town Texas and that with enough effort, indeed nothing is impossible, including being married to the same man for over 40 years! Rickey and Fredda have 2 children, 5 grandchildren, and a crazy life that includes sitting in the bleachers several times a week. The rest of her time is spent creating great content for texansunited.com and marketing small-town Texas.
