• Homemade Bread For All Occasions

Our recipe section here on Texansunited.com has become an extremely popular part of the site, and it has grown accordingly. This week, we have chosen to feature the homemade breads that we have posted to the site so far. They are every single one a winner!

Believe it or not, this ICE CREAM BREAD has two ingredients and is actually really  good…especially when served right out of the oven!

    ICE CREAM BREAD

Is it cake or is it cornbread? We just call it CORNBREAD CAKE here at United, and it is for those times when you’re in the mood for something that’s just a little different.

    CAKE MIX CORNBREAD

My husband, Rickey Jones, loves this SAUSAGE-JALAPENO CORNBREAD. Obviously, it spices up any meal that works with cornbread.

It is the MOZZARELLA CHEESE AND BACON BREAD that is one of my personal favorites…

…But then I also am in love with this OH SO GOOD CHEESE BREAD. If you are familiar with the cheese bread at Red Lobster, you will have a good idea of how this one will taste because the two are very similar.

Now, for my personal favorite cornbread comes the GREEN CHILI CHEESE AND BACON CORNBREAD. It combines the flavors of sweet and spice in just the right way! Be sure to serve it straight out of the oven.

LOLA’S END ALL CORNBREAD is also my very favorite! It’s unbelievably moist and good enough to be eaten all by itself.

    CORNBREAD

In the Conway household, Wendi’s EASY CORNBREAD is a family favorite. Wendi says that there is absolutely no need to use a mix!

And then, of course, there are the sweet breads. My grandson, Caden, and I tried the BLUEBERRY BREAD together, and we are now both fans.

I actually wish I had not called this BLUEBERRY CASSEROLE a French toast since  that makes it sound as if it can only be eaten for breakfast. This is a personal favorite of my dad, and he eats it as a dessert following any meal. It really is yum!

Viewed thousands of time, this APPLE CINNAMON BREAKFAST BREAD has been one of our most popular recipes here on TU. I can testify that it is delish!

My mom’s BANANA NUT BREAD is still my favorite. However, if you do not use really ripe bananas, you will be disappointed with the results. Do not overcook!

The smell of this one alone is enough to make me bake it. Wonderful CINNAMON BREAD!

This MAKE AHEAD FRENCH TOAST is great at home, but it is also wonderful for those mornings when you have to contribute to a community brunch. People love it, and it is so easy!

The only thing better than banana nut bread just might be CHOCOLATE BANANA NUT BREAD

With this wonderful variety of fabulous breads, you should be set for any occasion. Enjoy!

    About Fredda Jones

Fredda Davis Jones was raised “in the country” in Comanche County and learned very early that creativity and innovation are traits that can flourish even in small-town Texas and that with enough effort, indeed nothing is impossible, including being married to the same man for over 40 years! Rickey and Fredda have 2 children, 5 grandchildren, and a crazy life that includes sitting in the bleachers several times a week. The rest of her time is spent creating great content for texansunited.com and marketing small-town Texas.
