• Houston Comes To Dublin, Texas

Students from Houston schools crowded into the Dublin Historical Museum last week to have a guided tour by Historical Society president Mary Yantis. The group was in Dublin as part of a collaborative effort between the Dublin ISD and NASA under a program being coordinated by DISD instructional technologist Jennifer Miller.

Escorts for the students included former NASA researcher Tom Chambers who hosted a digital summit on the upcoming Magnetospheric MultiScale mission scheduled for 2014.  Students from Dublin, Houston, El Paso and New Jersey skyped from their classrooms as part of the program which studies the sun and its weather.

The Houston students also toured the Ben Hogan Museum and dined at Pizza Pro.

    About Fredda Jones

Fredda Davis Jones was raised “in the country” in Comanche County and learned very early that creativity and innovation are traits that can flourish even in small-town Texas and that with enough effort, indeed nothing is impossible, including being married to the same man for over 40 years! Rickey and Fredda have 2 children, 5 grandchildren, and a crazy life that includes sitting in the bleachers several times a week. The rest of her time is spent creating great content for texansunited.com and marketing small-town Texas.
