As far as I know an apology from the IRS just doesn’t happen. The agency sure didn’t apologize last year when it told us that we had failed to report some income and owed another $800. Of course, they NEVER were able to tell us what it was we had forgotten to report, but by darn, we sure owned them more money!
Today, however, there is a bombshell admission by the IRS as it apologizes for unfairly targeting conservative political groups for addtional reviews during the 2012 election.
Jay Sekulow, Chief Counsel for the American Center for Law and Justice, represented 27 of the targeted groups, and he has been one of the bulldogs on the case and probably deserves credit for the apology.
