• Karla’s Granny’s Apricot Cobbler

    As we were walking our legs off, trying to burn a few calories, Karla and I were talking about recipes. :)

    KARLA'S APRICOT COBBLERWhen she remembered how good her granny’s cobbler had been, I asked her to let me share the recipe with you. Of course, that meant she had to go home and make the cobbler. We’ll just have to walk double tomorrow!

    Ingredients and Preparation

    Preheat oven to 350 degrees.

    Simmer the following until fruit is tender.

    2 Cups Fruit (Karla used frozen apricots. You need lots of juice* as well as fruit.)
    1 Cup Butter
    1/4 Cup Sugar

    Stir the following together until mixed well. Stir into fruit mixture.

    1 Cup Sugar
    1 Cup Flour

    Stir milk into fruit mixture.

    1 Cup Milk


    Pour all into a buttered casserole dish.

    Bake until crust rises to the top and is golden brown. Begin checking after about 45 minutes.

    *Karla said  that the only thing she would do differently is to use more juice.
