• KCOM Raising Silver For The Food Pantry

In case you haven’t heard, the second annual KCOM Silver Can Campaign is underway in Comanche, Texas as the station works in conjunction with Mayor Ronnie Clifton and the the local food pantry to raise needed funds.

Just like last year, the silver cans have been placed at all campuses where students may drop in their change although I doubt that anyone would turn down a bill either!

Last year the project raised $1,110.00, and Peggy and the others at KCOM are hoping to exceed that total this year. The public is invited to stop in at any campus to leave your donation or bring it by the radio station. Here at United we love to see people helping people!

And don’t forget, you can hear Peggy and Fredda every Monday morning at 8:30 on KCOM (15.50 AM) discussing what’s new here at Texansunited.com and how it relates to the area. Be sure to tune in.

    About Fredda Jones

Fredda Davis Jones was raised “in the country” in Comanche County and learned very early that creativity and innovation are traits that can flourish even in small-town Texas and that with enough effort, indeed nothing is impossible, including being married to the same man for over 40 years! Rickey and Fredda have 2 children, 5 grandchildren, and a crazy life that includes sitting in the bleachers several times a week. The rest of her time is spent creating great content for texansunited.com and marketing small-town Texas.
