• Make Your Home Festive With Frosty!

Well, it’s the week before Christmas. If you haven’t decorated by now, I don’t know what to tell you. Ha! Likely you won’t be decorating, but I’m going to share some last minute, quick, easy ideas anyway. And, this will be my last “Really Awesome Christmas Stuff You Can Make Yourself” article for this season. I know, I know… what ever will you do? ;)

This week, I’ve chosen a snowman theme. I didn’t choose it for any good reason except for that when I started looking around for ideas to share, the first couple that I found were snowmen.

This first idea will only work for you if you have a white front door. But, for all you last minute decorators, or those of you that just want your neighbors to *think* you’ve decorated, here’s a super quick, simple & cute idea:

I found this idea at The Creative Stamper Spot. This looks BEYOND easy. I mean… it looks like all you need is some construction paper, foam, or felt, and some wrapping paper or material for the scarf. Also, she did this on the interior side of her door… I suppose you could do it either way.

See? Super easy! You could do that in ten minutes flat… probably less if you hustled. Anyone up for a competition? Ha! I kid, I kid.

Now, this next idea… oh man… I’m in LOVE with it! So cute, so clever… why don’t I think of things like this? And, I don’t own Christmas dishes (though I’ve wanted to for several years), but I DO own plain white dishes. So, this is a great alternative to Christmas dishes for me. Fork and spoon for arms? Knife and napkin for the top hat? Another napkin for a scarf? Love, love, love, love, LOVE! That’s about all I can say about that. Oh, except for that I found this idea at BHG.com.

This final idea might be a little involved for the last minute. However, maybe you want to do this next year? And, maybe Christmas trees go on sale BIG time after Christmas. Do you get what I’m saying? Plan ahead, folks! Get a white tree for a steal next week! The thing that I love most about this tree is that it’s going to get lots of attention, but it doesn’t have to cost an arm and a leg to decorate the thing. That’s usually how it goes… those really beautiful trees that stick in your mind… likely, a LOT of money was spent decorating that tree. But, with this one, it would definitely stick in my mind without the crazy cost associated with it.

And, that, my friends, is it for the holiday season! Merry Christmas!
