• Making DIY Shelves With Vintage Books

The following photo was sent to me by my friend, Alta Brandon, one of our Arkansas readers. I don’t know how to credit the photo, but I wanted to share someone else’s great idea for a way to use your vintage books.

Obviously, if you are going to go with a more modern look by using the metal brackets, you might want to use a more modern looking book. For these to work in my house, I would have to use wooden brackets or even the metal with a vintage covering (probably fabric) topped by some VERY old books.

Great DIY idea though, and I actually have some really great books that would work perfectly!

    About Fredda Jones

Fredda Davis Jones was raised “in the country” in Comanche County and learned very early that creativity and innovation are traits that can flourish even in small-town Texas and that with enough effort, indeed nothing is impossible, including being married to the same man for over 40 years! Rickey and Fredda have 2 children, 5 grandchildren, and a crazy life that includes sitting in the bleachers several times a week. The rest of her time is spent creating great content for texansunited.com and marketing small-town Texas.
