• Merlin Davis To Be Featured On KTXS TV

“I probably won’t be able to speak to you anymore, Fredda Lee. I imagine after tomorrow I’ll be out in Hollywood making movies,” Merlin joked to Rickey and me the night before KTXS’ Braid Blanks and cameraman Nick Bradshaw descended upon his 24 acres just outside of the little town of Comanche, Texas for the express purpose of shooting a television segment about his amazing life, talent, and will to live.

Of course, with the arrival of the big day, me thinks I saw a few nerves flutter, but not for long.

It was at about this point when Braid was attaching the mic that I'm not sure he believed life on television is all it's cracked up to be!

But then, Merlin’s never been one to pass up the chance to visit with a pretty girl so it wasn’t long before Braid had him laughing and enjoying himself.

So what did the duo discuss? Pretty much everything down to the fact that Merlin attributes his physical ability to keeping on keeping on, staying active, and clean living!

The segment will air tonight (August 27) at 10pm on KTXS, but don’t despair. If you, like us, can’t get that channel on your television, you can watch the interview via computer by going to http://www.ktxs.com on Wednesday morning (August 28).

    About Fredda Jones

Fredda Davis Jones was raised “in the country” in Comanche County and learned very early that creativity and innovation are traits that can flourish even in small-town Texas and that with enough effort, indeed nothing is impossible, including being married to the same man for over 40 years! Rickey and Fredda have 2 children, 5 grandchildren, and a crazy life that includes sitting in the bleachers several times a week. The rest of her time is spent creating great content for texansunited.com and marketing small-town Texas.

I will look forward to trying to watch this. I remember Mr. Davis pumping gas at his Gulf station when I would go an visit my grandparents in the summers. Thanks for sharing this article!
