• Miller’s Class At It Again In Dublin, Texas

On Thursday, October 27, from 10-11 a.m. Jennifer Miller of DISD will be at the Dublin, Texas Public Library while students from one of the high school English classes use Skype to make a presentation from their classroom to the library.

In visiting with Mrs. Miller this morning, she said that the high school students set the following as goals at the beginning of the year:

    1. Restore the spirit of the town

    2. Save Dr. Pepper

    3. Unite the community

These are some great ideas for all of us to support, and this presentation could be the first of many cooperative events between the school and the community.

Mrs. Miller and the library are agreeable to plan some continuing education type classes at the library to help some of us “old geezers” freshen up our computer skills! Doesn’t that sound great?…Patty Hirst

    About Fredda Jones

Fredda Davis Jones was raised “in the country” in Comanche County and learned very early that creativity and innovation are traits that can flourish even in small-town Texas and that with enough effort, indeed nothing is impossible, including being married to the same man for over 40 years! Rickey and Fredda have 2 children, 5 grandchildren, and a crazy life that includes sitting in the bleachers several times a week. The rest of her time is spent creating great content for texansunited.com and marketing small-town Texas.
