• Museum Hosts UDC & De Leon 5th Grade

UDC (United Daughters of the Confederacy) members as well as almost 50 fifth graders descended upon the Comanche County Historical Museum on two different days last week, all ready to see pretty much everything the museum has to offer .

Missy Jones was the tour guide for the UDC and she was in full form, down to her southern girl outfit.

Missy rings the bell, calling students to take their seats.

And then it was on to a busload of 5th graders who asked a multitude of questions that kept volunteer board members on their toes to answer. And if their smiling faces were any indication, I’d say they all had a very good time. :) [nggallery id=81]

Board Members would like to thank both groups for their donations and invite you to schedule a museum tour for your group in the near future!

    About Fredda Jones

Fredda Davis Jones was raised “in the country” in Comanche County and learned very early that creativity and innovation are traits that can flourish even in small-town Texas and that with enough effort, indeed nothing is impossible, including being married to the same man for over 40 years! Rickey and Fredda have 2 children, 5 grandchildren, and a crazy life that includes sitting in the bleachers several times a week. The rest of her time is spent creating great content for texansunited.com and marketing small-town Texas.
