• Premier Patriots Host Lift-A-Thon

    Submitted by Vickey Cavett

On Saturday, March 3, 2012, the Patriots/Lady Patriots will sponsor the 1st Annual Premier Schools Lift-A-Thon to emphasize the importance of our off-season training programs, and to help provide financial support for our athletic programs.

The Lift-a-Thon is scheduled to begin at 10:00 am in the weight room located at 1008 S Austin Street.  We would like to cordially invite our families and community members to come out and cheer the kids on as they earn their pledges.  At Premier, we believe it is important for our students to earn the privileges they are afforded.  Our community is always welcome at Premier and we hope that you will take this opportunity to come out and see what we are all about.  We promise you won’t be disappointed.

Following is an explanation of how our Lift-a-Thon will work:

    • Each athlete will perform 3 core lifts: the squat, the bench press, and the dead lift. We will take each athlete’s combined weight for the 3 lifts and multiply the weight times the pledge per pound.
    • Donors may choose to pledge 1¢ to 5¢ per pound. (Flat amount donations will also be accepted)
    • We are asking our athletes to ask their families, friends, and community members to support the efforts of our athletes.

We hope to see you on Saturday, March 3, but if you can’t come, we would be honored if you would consider making a pledge to our athletic program.  Our athletes will be grateful for any amount they receive.

Athletes will be asking for pledges in person. To make a pledge by phone, please call 325-330-1526, and we will be happy to take your pledge. You may also make your pledge by E-mail by sending your request to jecavitt@responsiveed.com, or by mail at Comanche Premier Athletics, Box 368, Comanche, TX 76442

Please make your pledge checks to Comanche Premier Athletics. Each donor will be provided with a receipt stating the amount of the pledge and the pounds lifted to equal the donation.

Again, we want to emphasize how much we would enjoy the pleasure of your company at our event. We are anxious for the community to see firsthand, the good things that are happening for this group of young people.

Thank you for your continued support.

My granddaughter, Jolee Jones, participated in the lift, and had very good records. I am proud of her and of your school. Keep up the good work, and your reward will be excellent students.
