• Pretzel Brownie Recipe Is Sooo Good!

PRETZEL BROWNIES I seem to be liking salty, crunchy, and sweet together these days so I thought I would share this brownie recipe with you.

These combine chocolate, peanut butter, and pretzels…GOOD!

    Ingredients for Brownies

    1/2 Cup Butter
    1/2 Cup Chocolate Chips
    1 Cup Sugar
    2 Eggs
    1 Teaspoon Vanilla
    1/3 Cup Cocoa (powder)
    1/2 Cup Flour
    1/4 Teaspoon Salt
    1/4 Teaspoon Baking Powder

    Ingredients for Peanut Butter Filling

    4 Tablespoons Butter, melted
    1/2 Cup Powdered Sugar
3/4 Cup Peanut Butter, creamy or smooth
    1/4 Teaspoon Salt
    1/2 Teaspoon Vanilla
Pretzels, broken and about as many as you can pick up with one hand.
    Salt, sea salt works well.

    Preheat  oven to 350 degrees.

    1. Stir together the cocoa, flour, 1/4 teaspoon salt, and baking powder.
    2. Melt the butter and add to a large mixing bowl. Add the chocolate chips and stir with a whisk until they begin to melt. Add the sugar and whisk until combined. Add the vanilla and whisk in the eggs, one at a time. Stir in the dry ingredients.
    3. Pour the batter into a buttered and floured 11×7 baking pan. Set aside.
    4. For the peanut butter topping, mix the 4 tablespoons melted butter, powdered sugar, peanut butter, salt, and vanilla together. Spoon this over the top of the brownies. Drag a knife back and forth through the mixture to swirl it all together.
    5. Break a large handful of pretzels over the top of the brownie/peanut butter mixture, pressing them down gently into the dough. Sprinkle lightly with a little sea salt if you want added salt taste.
    6. Bake for 20-25 minutes. Remove them from the oven when the center is still slightly underdone and allow them to cool completely on a cooling rack.
