The Disabled American Veterans is dedicated to a single purpose. That purpose is to empower veterans to lead high-quality lives with respect and dignity. The Disabled American Veterans is the most long lasting veterans advocacy and assistance group in the country. Their core mission is to fulfill our country’s promises to the men and women who served.
The DAV Chapter 234, of Stephenville has helped veterans with utilities, rent/mortgage, and auto repairs. They provide transportation to and from doctor appointments in Waco, Temple and Brownwood. They provide troop support with Sunday Breakfast, Thanksgiving Dinners and Christmas Parties for Armory Kids. This is just to name a few of the things provided by the DAV. It takes a whole slew of volunteers and money to keep the operation going.
