• Red Carpet for CHS Project Runway!

Written by Rebecca Jones, theatre teacher

On October 16th the Comanche High School Theatre class presented their recently designed attire by mimicking the Project Runway TV Show. Theater students have been working on this production for a few weeks.

Students were only given a limited amount of fabric and the rest was to be collected and altered to fit their models. They modeled their costumes that were made from a variety of materials; Duct Tape and trash bags were highly popular used materials.

Both an evening attire and sportswear had to be designed. The final task was to model and present their outfits in front of three crazy judges: Pinky Perry (Leah Franco), Rock-A-Doodle Doo (Jason Henry) and Bruno (Grant Freeman) and the audience.

A beautiful MC, Melinda Megna, helped introduce all the students that were in the show. Mrs. Rebecca Jones’ theatre class has 48 actively participating students. The audience enjoyed the night with amazing designs, bold models, judges with a great sense of humor, and tons of laughter.
