• Red Hatters Meet At Ben Hogan Museum

The Country Red Hatters held their February 22 meeting at the Ben Hogan Museum of Dublin.

The ladies shared seasoned popcorn as they watched the 1950s black-and-white movie, “Follow the Sun: The Ben Hogan Story,” starring Glenn Ford and Anne Baxter.

The movie picks up with a young Ben Hogan as he met his future wife, Valerie, in Fort Worth. It ends as he made his historic comeback following a near-fatal car accident in 1949.

Hostess Karen Wright filled in the group with the “before and after” and played the DVD about the first Cow Pasture Golf Classic, held on what has become known as “Ben Hogan’s Forgotten Fairways” at the old Dublin-DeLeon Golf Course.

Local and area clubs and organizations are invited to hold small meetings in the museum without charge as a “get acquainted” program of the Dublin Historical Society, which owns the Ben Hogan Museum. For more information, call Karen at 254 445-1919.
