Remembering Those Campfire Girls!

I must admit that I shamelessly stole these photos from the Facebook page of Kathy Holmsley via Lindy Trotter, but they were just too good to miss sharing with you! I’m thinking a lot of you will see someone you remember or, like me, you will at least remember those Bluebird and Campfire days!

I decided not to add the names to the photos so that you could have the fun of seeing just who you can remember.

COMANCHE BLUE BIRDSI remember the Campfire house well, but I had completely forgotten those blue skirts and white blouses!

About Fredda Jones

Fredda Davis Jones was raised “in the country” in Comanche County and learned very early that creativity and innovation are traits that can flourish even in small-town Texas and that with enough effort, indeed nothing is impossible, including being married to the same man for over 40 years! Rickey and Fredda have 2 children, 5 grandchildren, and a crazy life that includes sitting in the bleachers several times a week. The rest of her time is spent creating great content for and marketing small-town Texas.

Love these, Fredda!!! I was a Bluebird in the year below this class. I still remember making ashtrays with our pictures glued on to the bottom, trying to do jobs to merit getting beads, and I remember eating cooking in that dark room! I think there was a kitchen with a stove in the building.

I will take a stab at it:
B&W: Judy Conway, Martha Flannery, Margie???, Nancy Froh, Lindy Trotter, Ann Hathcock, Katy Wilkerson, Jana Gillette
Color: Margie Presswood?, Ann Hathcock, Nancy Froh, Martha Flannery, Jenifer McDougal?, Judy Conway Lindy Trotter, Katie Wilkerson?
