Okay Comanche folks and those that love Comanche… it’s time to have a little pride in our community! Comanche has so much history and culture and beauty to offer, but we’ve got to cultivate it. If you’ve got any sort of roots here in Comanche, Texas, now’s the time to step up and help save a little bit of her heritage.
As many of us are well aware, there’s been an effort in place to save the old Comanche Train Depot for several years now. The light at the end of the tunnel is becoming brighter each day, and we eagerly anticipate this project’s completion. The Friends of Historic Comanche are calling on us – all of us – to help fund the final push in the restoration of the Depot. They are asking the great folks of this community to honor a loved one, remember a friend, or celebrate a business or organization with the purchase of a commerative brick to be laid in the West Patio at the Depot.
With your donation of $100 per brick, not only will you be aiding in the preservation of Comanche’s heritage, but you will also be able to pay tribute to someone/something for years to come.

The Comanche Chamber of Commerce partnered with the Friends of Historic Comanche are planning a grand opening on September 15th, 2012, at the Depot. The Kiwanis Club will provide burgers, and the Lions Club will provide hot dogs. Everyone is invited to come enjoy the good eats and live music.
This is worth saving, folks.
