• Snow Tubing At The Gaylord Texan

It’s no secret that here at Texansunited.com we are all about country living at its best; however, we also know that our kiddos need a chance to experience our Texas cities as well. This week our travel suggestion takes you to the city AND gets you a great Christmas gift as well.

If you haven’t been to the Gaylord Texan* in Grapevine during the Christmas season, you have missed an unbelievably gorgeous treat! Of course, the hotel is packed with fun Christmas things to do, but our bunch tends to head toward the ice slides each year for a freezing good time.

    THE GAYLORD

This year’s Lone Star Christmas features Kung Fu Panda Awesome Snow Tubing which runs from November 14, 2013, through January 4, 2014. Tickets are $18.95 each for adults and children alike, and everyone gets 10 rides on the frozen slides. Of course, the Ice display is great and available for a separate admission price.

It can get a little crowded, but we’ve found that waiting until after Christmas does cut the crowd immensely. AND…snow tubing tickets make great stocking stuffers!

    About Fredda Jones

Fredda Davis Jones was raised “in the country” in Comanche County and learned very early that creativity and innovation are traits that can flourish even in small-town Texas and that with enough effort, indeed nothing is impossible, including being married to the same man for over 40 years! Rickey and Fredda have 2 children, 5 grandchildren, and a crazy life that includes sitting in the bleachers several times a week. The rest of her time is spent creating great content for texansunited.com and marketing small-town Texas.
