• Summer Track In Comanche

    From Coach Jeffrey Roemisch

It’s that time again-for Summer Track. This year we will have a BIG opening night May 22nd at 6:30.

I have run a summer track program here in Comanche for 16 years now. The athletes range from 3 to 18 years old. We run every Thursday night from 6:30-8:00 here in Comanche and have meets available every Saturday, during the month of June, the athletes travel to various towns to compete.

The athletes only have to pay one entry fee at the track meets and then they are able to compete in all events for their age group. Last summer we averaged about 43 runners each Thursday. It is great to see this much interest in track and the athletes will see the lifelong benefits of their hard work.

At this time, I am asking for your help.

I am hoping to raise money to purchase more uniforms, water for the track meets, and pay the entry fees for the athletes traveling to the meets. I have also began to employ HS kids to “coach” the kids on Thursdays (makes a good additional job of for the HS kids).

Anything that you would be able to help with would be greatly appreciated. We are a registered non-profit organization so all donations are tax deductable.
