• Taco Flavored Crackers Are Pure Texas!

TACO FLAVORED CRACKERSThese crackers are the perfect touch to spice up any meal that calls for crackers. I’ve made the ones with ranch dressing for years, and I love them. However, one day when I needed a spiced cracker to make a salad look more tempting, I found that I did not have enough ranch dressing. I had 1/2 pack of Ranch and 1/2 pack of Taco Seasoning so I combined the two…really good!

That inspired me to realize that I could use basically any spice on my crackers so today I am making Taco Crackers…how Texas is that?

    Ingredients

    Crackers, 2 sleeves
    1 Package Taco Seasoning
    1/2 Cup Oil
    1 Large Zip Lock Bag

    1. Heat oil in microwave for about 30 seconds. Pour into bag.

    2. Add 1 package taco seasoning (I used Old El Pas0).

    3. Using your hands, mash seasoning and oil until mixed well.

    4. Pour in two sleeves of crackers and shake well (but easily) turning the bag over and upside down often until all are coated well; however, all crackers will not look exactly the same.

If you need your crackers in a hurry, plate them so that they will dry faster. If not, just leave in the bag until you are ready to serve them. They are guaranteed to spice up any meal that needs a little extra zest!

This is what I use; however, feel free to use your own favorite brands.

There is nothing pretty about making these. Just be sure not to break your crackers.

As you can tell, my crackers are just out of the bag and have not yet completely soaked up the mixture.
