It’s no secret to any of us who live in Comanche, Texas that we are in an unbelievably serious drought. However, I have to admit that when Dennis Marken sent me the following photo slide show of Lake Travis, even I was caught off guard at just how devasting the drought has been to that area.

After showing this to Rickey, he reminded me that at least parts of the city of Lake Travis depends on the lake for their water supply.

The photos that you will find on the following link were taken in August of this year by Texas Parks and Wildlife.

    About Fredda Jones

Fredda Davis Jones was raised “in the country” in Comanche County and learned very early that creativity and innovation are traits that can flourish even in small-town Texas and that with enough effort, indeed nothing is impossible, including being married to the same man for over 40 years! Rickey and Fredda have 2 children, 5 grandchildren, and a crazy life that includes sitting in the bleachers several times a week. The rest of her time is spent creating great content for texansunited.com and marketing small-town Texas.
