• The Outpost Is Moving In!

Well, the word is out in Comanche. Texas.  Eddy Parker and Rex Plumlee have purchased the building on the west end of the north side of the square for their new restaurant, The Outpost. And before we go any farther, I have to applaud them for choosing a name that works into our new Heritage Tourism theme. It is so exciting when someone “gets it,” isn’t it?

Of course, for now, the duo is almost literally neck-deep in dust and debris as they pull off old siding, taking the walls back to the original rock.

The walls are going to be gorgeous!

On the outside of the building, the metal and rock siding will be removed, exposing the original brick.

Can't wait to see this vintage brick!

Every single finger I have is crossed, hoping that I will soon have something exciting to report for the side of this wall!

    The WALL....

    The WALL….

The guys tell me that they will be serving down home good cooking so be watching their progress. We can’t wait!

And just in case you haven’t noticed…Comanche, Texas is making progress!
