i hope everyone had an awesome holiday!!!! seems like i went into my kitchen at the beginning of november and didn’t come out until last week!!!! i was SUPER BLESSED to be as busy as i was!!
it seems that after the holidays, my bunch craves “soul food”!! lots of southern fried anything makes them happy….so this year i’m gonna start off with a few southern recipes that are some of my favorites and hope you and yours enjoy them as well!!!
5-6 medium, washed and sliced russet potatoes
2 slices bacon, cut into pieces
1/2 sliced white onion
chopped chives (optional)
1/4 cup veg oil
1/4 stick margarine
1 tsp season salt
1 tsp paprika
1/4 tsp pepper
1 tsp steak seasoning
heat oil and margarine in large frying skillet on med heat until hot, add potatoes, onion, bacon and chives….sprinkle all seasoning on top and cover…cook on med-low heat for apx 15 minutes, flip or stir until top potatoes are on bottom, re-cover and continue cooking for another 15 minutes…. ENJOY!!!!
