• Wendi’s Hot Fudge Lava Cake

    HOT FUDGE LAVA CAKEI have decided this week to do a DESSERT!!!!!! YAYYYYY!!!!!!!

    Anyone who knows me knows I have a HUGE sweet tooth!!!!! So this week’s YUMMY, SWEET recipe is: HOT FUDGE LAVA CAKE!!!

    This recipe is ALLLL MINE!!!! I found it in a magazine (and tweaked it just a lil’) years ago and have NEVER lost it!!! Desserts are a BIG MUST in my house…if there’s not one at the end of the night, Johnny & the kids wonder who made me mad!!!!!

    It’s an easy, fun, and quick way to whip up some fun after a long day, or if you’re just craving some good, ol’ chocolate!!! I hope you ENJOY!!!


    1 c. all purpose flour
    ¾ c. sugar (white)
    6 TBSP baking cocoa (unsweetened)
    2 tsp baking powder
    ¼ tsp salt
    ½ c. milk (I use 2% and it’s GREAT)
    2 TBSP veg oil
    1 tsp vanilla
    1 c. packed BROWN sugar
    1 ¾ c. hot water
    Vanilla ice cream or whipped topping


    In a medium bowl, combine flour, sugar (white), 2 cocoa, baking powder & salt. Stir in the milk, oil & vanilla until smooth. Spread in an UNGREASED 9” square baking pan. Combine BROWN sugar, and remaining cocoa, sprinkle over batter. Pour hot water over all. DO NOT STIR TO MIX!!!!!!

    Bake at 350 for 35-40 min. DO NOT OVER-BAKE!!! Top with vanilla ice cream or whipped topping and ENJOY!!!!
