i have seen LOTS of recipes for “cheeseburger casserole” but after i read them, NONE of them like they would taste like a TRUE cheeseburger!!! so i have made up my own version, tweaked other versions, added some things, omitted other things, and i think i have come up with a REAL CHEESEBURGER CASSEROLE!!!! my family LOVES it, and i bet all you moms out there with young kids, they will LOVE it as well!!!! so here’s my version…hope you like it!!!

    salt & pepper to taste

1- 1/2 cups grated cheddar cheese

    3/4 cups CHEESEBURGER baking mix

    1- 1/4 cups milk

    2 eggs

brown ground beef and onion in skillet, drain grease, stir in dill pickles, ketchup and mustard. spread evenly on bottom of a GREASED 9×13 Pyrex dish. sprinkle cheddar cheese over beef mixture. mix bisquick, milk and eggs in a bowl until smooth. pour over cheese till completely covered. bake at 400 until top is golden brown and a toothpick comes out clean… apx 40-50 minutes. It doesn’t matter where I shop because I build my pantry around what is on sale this week.
